So why are you happy that some retired farmers that rents out his ground to fund his retirement is so hated by you? What do you want them to do, give it to you or why do you care about what someone else does.?
I have enough on my plate I don’t need anymore at the moment. With that being said: I despise the BTO that bids(not pays) the highest rent on a huge amount of acres. Then proceeds to do a terrible job farming it(mining the soil and zero weed control). All with hired help that isn’t local. They aren’t involved in any local volunteer services and rarely donate to local causes.
Now if those same acres had been rented to a number of local farmers: at least a few would be involved in the community.
Do whatever you want with your ground, you paid for it. Just remember if you rent it out to the highest bidder three counties away; don’t complain when there’s no one to man the ambulance, fire truck, or rescue rig for your emergency. |
