Trying to increase my % in hfrs bred. Got 3 bulls on 60hd. Two are 3 yrs old and one is a yearling. Think I've been averaging 80+% in the past. They are at a good weight and cycling. Neighbor uses a shot of lutalyse 5 days into breeding. Wondering if that's an option if I gave half the herd a shot since I have a bull constraint at 3. Suggestions thanks!
How big is your pasture and which bulls fight?
Small pasture of 100 acres…. Those bulls are going to fight and one of them will break its tool. 3 means that the fight is always 2 on 1 street fight.
Either give them more acres so the group spreads out or rotate bulls in/out |
