Minnesota | I have an Aim Command Pro (Capstan Pinpoint) system on a CIH sprayer. I think that I have VCM that took a crap. Everything checked out on my yard test, but when I got to the field, I got a VCM not detected error for boom #2. I have 12v power to the VCM....I thought that I had some bad wires, so I cut out the bad looking wires and crimped on some new pins, which didn't help.
The VCM #2 shows up in my location setup even though it says not detected. On my last load of the day, the nozzles on section #2 were pulsing, even though the AIM display showed no little blue squares for the nozzles on section #2. The horizontal green line that shows the duty cycle would jump around on section #2 -- would jump higher or lower than the other sections.
I'm thinking that the VCM is toast on section 2....but, they are not cheap....so, I'm hoping someone can offer some advice on the situation before I buy a new VCM. Thank you. | |
