Is a Will not a "Transfer upon death deed" ? Probate is not an evil in any way, unless you want to hide something personal? The only evil part of Probate is handing an attorney 7 grand to probate a simple Will where all the heirs are in agreement on division of assets and to do the transfers on two land parcels. This could have been avoided if we’d been able convince Mother to do “Transfer on death deeds” instead of her thinking all she needed was a Will. |
