Your last sentence is so true.
I cringe when I see heirs sell land. There’s always one or two in a family you know will have it all spent and gone in 5 years.
I drive home to my kids and grandkids that if you sell it, invest in another hard asset. If you want to have some frivolous spending money to enjoy, keep the land and spend the rent after paying taxes.
Beating the dead horse. Farm wealth......money vs physical assets.
