Subject: RE: salt myth

Western Oregon
I was put on a no salt diet when I was 19. I was also put on a very low fat diet because of low white cell count and high cholesterol. I was a sickly kid. Nearly killed me, 3 years later. So strict, I even had to rinse home made goats milk, low fat unsalted cottage cheese. Only cheese on my diet was fake plastic cheese because I am dairy intolerant. Fish and vegetables, mostly, very little red meat, no eggs. I had to quit that.

Now I eat lean red meats in moderation, bison, elk and venison, a couple eggs a week. Now I use Salt Free Seasoning from Dollar Tree and a small sea salt grinder, at the table only. Find the taste of sea salt stronger so doesn't take much, most times just shake it a little, not grind much. Comes direct to tongue and taste buds, not mixed in. 2 small grinders from Dollar tree, will last wife and I a year or more. We don't eat processed, only no salt added canned foods but eat as many frozen as possible, mostly fresh home grown fruits and vegetables in season. Fermented, sprouted and micro-greens from our own fish tanks in the greenhouse in the winter....James
