I hit a deer a few years ago and it set off the airbags. It shut the truck off and wouldn’t allow it to start.
This happened on a blind hill of a busy highway, I wasn’t able to drive it off the road to a safe spot.
Then a Good Samaritan stopped and helped me push it. Of course I had to fight the air bags to get into the truck and push the brake to put into N so we could do that. What a joke.
I found out a couple weeks ago that a ~15 year old Volkswagen Passat will start and drive after airbag deployment.
