Should there be a "large grocery store" every two miles? that's ridiculous economics. Unless their definition of rural is any metro area less than 50,000 people or whatever. There's no way a typical city can support that density of grocery stores these days. Walkable cities were a rarity of wealth and privilege for that brief period when "hip young people" were congregating downtown.
