Mid-Michigan | It's not about making sense. Lots of people buy $15,000+/acre ground. Does that make sense? To me it doesnt, but its irrelevant, (to me). It's about the "can" part. Guys know damned well that ground won't pay for itself. But they want it and have the "can" part available. I know lots of 500-1500 acre farmers that have big, new equipment. I rarely see them working with lights on (unless its in the morning. They are always done on time. When they want something new, they go buy it. Rarely do i see them just throwing money around though. Guess that's how they got to the "can" part of life | |
