I agree that some of Chinas products are getting better but many are still substandard, low quality items.
But I disagree with you that many U.S. products and innovatoions were not superior and in some cases, still are.

Why would I worry about Cina becoming the world super power?
The U.S. has been the policing the world trade routes since the end of WWII and the U.S. dollar was appointed the world reserve currency during the Bretton Woods conference in 47.
The U.S. has enabled globalization and free trade by promoting international rules, institutions, open trade agreements and geopolitical strategy.
Since that time the U.S. has been a extremely generous nation giving massive amounts of foriegn aid, humanitarian aide, disaster aisstance and refugee resettlement/immigration.
Even our private citizens are very benevolent.
Communist China on the other hand is is run by a a one party, authoritarian dictatorship which severly restricts dindividual rights.
My concern is that China will operate an international system governened by state led surveillance and create many border disputes by it's expansionist desires.
China will not be pacifist leader.
I am proud to be an American and of course, desire my nation to be number one.
I beleive the U.S., under it's constitution offers the most individual liberty, freedoms and opportunities to suceed than any other nation.
On this, our nations 250th birthday, I fear young Americans are becoming less patriotic and less proud of their country than previous generations.
That is bad new for any country.
