95 miles NW of Quitaque, TX | One of the things that I do with my Google Pixel is when I see that screen. I try the back button. If nope, then I hold the power button down until the phone turns off. That has solved the problem every time that happens. DO NOT TOUCH THE SCREEN except for the back button. Wait a minute and start back up the phone. I told my MIL the same thing. I said even if we are talking on the phone do this.
My mother in law on her Samsung A36, she touched the screen. She got so many adds and even adds during phone calls. I took her phone home and turned her phone into a dumb phone. The phone is now a normal dumb phone. She loves her dumb $99 dumb phone. I learned why I hate Samsung phones. The phone keeps on trying to put apps on your phone after updates, etc. I would call that a virus but it is from Samsung. I talked to a person with the expensive Samsung phone. She deletes the new apps and a few other things. She said this is normal. I thought nope.
My pixel is much more lenient on letting me control my phone. When I get a new phone the settings move from one upgrade to the other. The one main problem is Chrome app.
