
| It is. But the reason it's made in China isn't because "China is our enemy." China decided back in the 70's or so to become a manufacturing economy. They graduate more "process engineers" today than the rest of the world combined. I'm not sure the U.S. even has that designation. The goal of their system is to produce goods as efficiently and economically as possible. They consciously decided to become the worlds low cost producer. They have entire industrial districts dedicated to this goal with multiple manufacturers in multiple industries producing multiple products and parts for products. This gives them a place on the World Stage. The goal of our system is to make as much money as possible. Therein lies the problem. It's not "regulations" that hamper us, or "labor costs" it's that our system is really designed to extract as much wealth as possible to give to the Capital class. The product is secondary. |
