I think it is way more than just AgTalk.

I think there has been a concerted effort to turn people against other people in general. Keep us agitated. It shows in lots of public things including mainstream news. There is just no longer the trust in sources that there used to be. A divided nation instead of a unified nation. I think AgTalk is just a reflection of that division.
