You can get your DOT number on line as Terry said, then print out a 2290 from the IRS web site, fill it in and send it in. They send back a stamped copy that you take with you to get your license. The farm exemption on the 2290 keeps you from paying anything. You'll probably be under the 7500 miles anyway.
