We have the best genetics, technology, equipment, data, management tools, and the best yields we've ever had. So why are margins so tight?
Farmers are doing the best job they can they're listening to the advice of all the experts making sure they create the best seed bed, buy the best seed, put out all the best products out there from fertilizers to the insecticide to the herbicide and the fungicide doing everything everybody tells them at 110%. So why is there no profit?
Am I losing money this year? Nope. If prices stay where they are, I am impatiently waiting for harvest already. and I will enthusiastically be running to the bank to cash them checks. | |
