Are they profitable after subtracting all costs incurred to raise the crop, or profitable after all costs and living expenses? That is two different questions that get two different answers. A lot of farmers like to figure living expense into the farming costs. Then after they spend 500k on living expenses they tell everyone it was another year they didn’t make any money.
