Boy this place isnt like it used to be.Not near as much posting. Posters that were regulars have dissappeared to never return again. Are people driven away.Whats the story.

If they have not passed away you can probably find them on Facebook, in various groups, still being very helpful and interesting. Most here disappear for 3 reasons I've found: passed, retired, or told off/banned.

How many new posters first posts are immediately jumped on by those here with complaints about "no name, no location, not worth answering seriously"? The majority of them are anymore.

Quite a few questions anymore, the few that are asked, aren't answered. They go elsewhere, such as being berated for even asking it or receiving nothing but sarcastic answers.

Used to go to the marketing forum for good info.Every time I go over there not one bit off help for anything.

If you go back to 2018 you can watch it fall apart little by little. "Self moderate" is what they call it, something about being "too much work" or "everyone got upset when we moderated" or something. Those that are left will not take anything but their position, and anything but their position is "paid propaganda/shilling". For example, say anything besides blatant praise there for ethanol, the part of the Renewable Fuel Standard that literally mandates the use of ethanol, or anything that might say that ethanol in the long term may not have helped farmers or that is not all "Big Bad Big Oil's fault" and see where that takes you.

Machinery talk is pretty descent. But man the volume off posters an info has dwindled to very little anymore.

Like many other forums, the real value of this place is the 20 years of posts that have been answered.

What is incredibly interesting is seeing people here, how they act on Facebook. Some here are the same there, others who you think aren't exactly helpful here appear nice and helpful here in comparison to the way they are on Facebook. Others who are worthless here are incredibly helpful there. It is very strange, and having their full name and location has no correlation.
