Trump defunded pretty much all Federal Cancer research. So the chance is pretty limited.
1) NIH has been funded at ~$47-$49B levels since 2023. They are at that level again for FY26. 2) NIH has changed how they appropriate their dollars on grants which is why some grants have been canceled. Cherry picked studies or grants that are canceled are not "defunding all cancer research". They haven't been cut on their $Bs. That is a far cry from "defunded pretty much all Federal Cancer research". Small segments have been which leads to some canceled research. 3) NIH funds the National Cancer Institute. They funded them at $7.2B in FY24, $7.2B in FY25, and are appropriated $7.3B for FY26.
Tell me again how "Trump defunded pretty much all Federal Cancer research".
