Well, it’s certainly not Iowa. It’s not great soil compared to yours.
I guess it’s a “here” thing to understand. We can only dream of your productivity.
I’ll digress at this point.
I’m not trying to belittle Florida farmers at all, we have plenty of our own ground that isn’t that great. Contrary to popular belief, not all of Iowa is 250 bpa corn, some ground is lucky to break into triple digits.
I’m just wondering if breaking grass into tillable land really makes sense in the southeast. Or is it just a play on massive govt subsidies?
