2 million in donations in 25 years is chump change at that level of politics. I am surprised the amounts are that low.
To know if the level of chicanery going on now is more than before we would need to know the level of chicanery that went on in the past. I really doubt we actually have that knowledge. I’m not saying a person can’t believe that but I don’t think anyone can say they know that.
