But I still would like to hear from Trump supporters as to what is the official reason the war is needed. After all their nuclear capacity was utterly destroyed less than a year ago.

Part of the reason is humanitarian. Iran is still circumcising young girls and also doing public hangings of woman and girls who don`t cover their heads.
Think about your daughters and granddaughters.
