Malta, Illinois | I am afraid I have to agree. War was a horrible thing when Biden was sending money and equipment to Ukraine. I was not thrilled with that by the way. But now, we are much more involved in a war with Iran than we ever were with Ukraine and all is fine and dandy. Some guy over on TPP is celebrating what a genius President Trump is and what a brilliant strategist he is. He has known what he is doing all along and just using the media to spread propaganda to the enemy and now he has them right where he wants them.*** I would counter that Trump and Pentagon Pete had little in the way of a game plan. They made the same mistake others have made thinking we could bomb Iran into submission quickly and walk away with all the concessions we were seeking. That is the trouble with fighting radicalized nut jobs who want to kill you. They don't give up real easy. Of course we have hurt them greatly and caused incalculable damage to their country and it's infrastructure. They hold the wild card with The Strait of Hormuz. We were told about ten days ago that Hormuz didn't matter and the United States didn't need it. Let the countries that rely on that oil handle it. Not our problem. What changed? I am thinking pressure from some within the party who are catching flack from their constituents about the rising costs of fuel and everything else. I certainly don't want Iran to have a nuclear weapon but I don't for one minute believe that Iran was two weeks away from having a nuclear weapon and using it against us. We were told last June by Trump that we obliterated their nuclear sites and destroyed their nuclear capability. Was he lying then , now, or both? He has his back to the wall and is struggling to find a way out. One thing you can count on is that however this plays out, Trump is going to claim that he won even if the American people lost. JD Vance cannot come soon enough! | |
