EC Nebraska
Disruption
If the world were truly sane, every country would back the action against Iran. But they don’t, and 60 percent of Americans don’t either, according to polling. Therefore, the evil-doers in Tehran gain a big advantage. Many folks don’t care what they do.

There is heavy evidence that the Mullahs continue to work on a nuclear weapon. If they succeed, the entire planet could be in peril. However, many nations do not acknowledge the danger of weaponized radiation. They look away.

But why?

The International Atomic Energy Agency believes Iran is aggressively enriching uranium. The American and Israeli intelligence apparatus concurs. But Melanie down the street does not believe because she doesn’t want to. All this conflict has disrupted Melanie’s life. It has to go away. So annoying.

Yes, there are some good reasons to be skeptical. Saddam’s weapons of mass destruction ruse, President Trump’s exaggerations, and Israel’s suffering from Iran’s aggression. So, dissent is not completely out of context.

But not believing the worst of the Mullahs is foolish and irresponsible, especially in the face of hard evidence. Their evil has been demonstrated again and again.

President Trump’s approval numbers are diving, so the Iran action is actually hurting him. Why, then, would he contrive a political debacle? It makes no sense.

The Pope simply wants peace. His entire analysis is based on that. NATO is weak and afraid of the terrorists.

But back to Melanie, who probably doesn’t follow current events that closely. She opposes neutralizing Iran because it means she has to pay more for stuff. And because she doesn’t much like Trump. She is tired of the whole disruption. Melanie wants normalcy, not confusing geopolitics.

As No Doubt once sang: “It’s my life, don’t you forget.”

Finally, I could be wrong about Iran enriching uranium. It’s possible they are bluffing. But not probable. The evidence at hand indicates a hateful regime with blackmail and murder on its mind, as well as nukes underground.

I surely don’t want to believe that because human suffering highlights the Iranian conflict. Thousands have already been killed. But unless evidence surfaces that contradicts the intelligence services, I have to support the colossal disruption because it is the responsible thing to do.

And I hope to convince Melanie to go down the same path.

This is a good commentary on why we have to go after Iran whether we like it or not. RICH79
