I really don’t see what the big deal is about adding 1000 lbs to a six row planter frame.        Most 6 row planter frames really don’t have much frame weight per row.      All it is is a single 7” x 7” tube 15’ long.  


Even with a 1000 lbs added it would still weigh much less per row than a 40’ forward fold CCS planter that has a double frame with bracing between the bars. 

Additionally, stamped steel row units weigh significantly less than cast iron row units.
