So you have to add weight to keep the planter down and it grows great corn? That's a non starter in my soil types. You plant corn like that here and if you go stand in it, you'll look like a scarecrow. We do lots of notill, but when growing high yield corn, what you're describing won't work. Corn that starts right usually finishes good, a bad start, it never catches up
