SW OH | Back in the 70s when my dad was the City manager he bought them an Allis Chalmers genset. 5,000 HP turbine. It is still in place today and used as an emergency back up. It's wired to the police, fire, City building, county buildings, band aide station etc. It can be started and produce electric in less than 5 minutes of someone walking in the door.
Before my time dad had a WD45 and a rotobaler. There was a dealer for almost every brand of tractor you could think of close by through the 50s. I tried to buy a 4W-305 at an auction back in the 80s, but couldn't afford it.
