Top of Texas
To summarize, I delivered a big backwards calf this evening and then the cow promptly prolapsed and died. The calf is doing great but now I’m stuck figuring out what to do with her. I have a cow in the herd who lost her calf but it’s been 30 days. I’ve never tried an adoption any more than 10 days out, I’m thinking there’s no way this cow would milk even if I got her to accept the calf…should I just accept that I have a bottle calf and proceed accordingly?
