I stated that wrong in my early morning stupor Ron. I forget that last summer we did put the bottom bearing in....but we did it as a prevention measure per the recommendations of a local dealer. Apparently same reason you have had to do it. The two 10" haven't had that done. It was early, I was groggy, but as far as breakdowns go that has been it. Never had a gearbox go out. Ours doesn't sit over a drying bin either.
