The real question is, is the money being used to buy the farmland after income taxes are paid on it or is it tax free money out of the offering plate?
Regardless, IMO, a “church” having 100’s of billions in income producing assets is just plain wrong.
Why regardless? If they’re using the church rules to advantageously get out of some taxes, that’s not right, but if they’re paying taxes like anyone else what’s wrong about it? It’s really no different to you than any other individual or entity buying it up.
