Central IL | No reason not to love corn ethanol.
Checks all the boxes.
1. For free market economy advocates it is the lowest cost portable liquid fuel per unit of energy. Only reason it has ever needed mandates is due to the fuel supply chain monopolies and lobbying power of big oil.
2. For national security, it keeps our money at home and requires no price or access battles with foreign providers.
3. For sustainability it, the wells never run out.
4. For environmentalists, it rapidly recycles carbon that is already in the air as opposed to releasing additional carbon that has been stored underground for thousands of years like oil, natural gas, and coal.
What's not to love?
