I remember getting a razor in the army and shaving a nice piece of skin off my face the first time I used it.  As I recall that razor had 2 edges that were sharp.  You turned the handle to open it, dropped in a blade and turned the handle to close it.  Not that I had any real need to shave at the time.  I had previously just used an electric razor of dads once a week or so.
