Subject: RE: ag leader incommand 1200 vs go 16

North Central Iowa
As someone else mentioned, Ag Leader does have trade in promotions every now and then. I've traded in old Ez Guide 500s/Ez Steers on new Ag leader stuff (Steadysteer, Incommand screens) a couple of times.

I have both a 1200 and a GO16. Took awhile for me to get used to the GO16, interface layout and color palette is different. Now that I've used the GO16 for awhile, kind of prefer it.

The 1200 is plenty powerful and works quite well. Works with almost everything Ag Leader has out now except Rightpath (implement guidance). And there are a few things that the 1200 works with that the GO16 doesn't (older steering technologies and a couple of modules such as the application rate module). They have a pretty good listing of supported systems for each screen at:

One school of thought is when upgrading, always get the latest as that is what will be supported the longest with new products/technologies if that is of interest to you. Since the GO16 hasn't been out long, one would hope/expect that it will be Ag Leader's primary screen for a few/several years yet. When I last did a trade in, the GO16 had just come out and I waffled quite a few times between going with a second 1200 or get the GO16. Ended up with the GO16 and so far glad I did. At some point, probably will give Rightpath a go and that wasn't a known feature at the time I got the GO16.
