Subject: RE: Auger length

Believe he is asking about getting a PTO auger to fit under the bin, and still be able to power it with a tractor. Meaning the shaft would need to terminate 15 feet from the intake.
Would this be a permanent install, or would it be used elsewhere? Transport?
Some options that come to mind; extend the shaft to clear the bin, move the gearbox to clear the bin and allow the shaft to clear the bin, add a gearbox, or extend the intake like a swingaway hopper. Using a electric powered jack auger would also be an option.
