Most mechanices tell me its very hard on small engines and engines that are not designed for it. No idea on if that has merit but do know since we switched over to fuel with out ethanol our small engines run way better.
That’s a good joke. I used to get my fingers in many small engines, and I see fewer problems now than I used to. If an carbureted engine built in the last 25 years or so runs poorly on E10 it is almost certainly because the engine was jetted too lean in the first place which is a result of the EPA’s draconian emissions regulations on small engines. An engine jetted to run properly will never notice the difference. |
