Cleveland, MS. Own small farm near Booneville, MS | I was born in July of 1959. I remember the floor plan of the five room house we lived in until I was six. I don’t remember the exact sequence of events, but during those years I remember riding my tricycle on the front porch that went all the way across the front of the house. I remember having a JD pedal tractor that “disappeared” after we moved. I remember dad getting his brand new 3010 with a 12’ RWA disk, getting his new Ford 4 row planter delivered in pieces, and lots of other stuff. Before the 3010 I remember riding on the “H” and the 50 with my dad and/or older brother. The summer I turned six and started school dad bought the neighboring farm and we moved a mile up the road into a house that had an indoor bathroom. Mom had to show me how to flush the toilet because I had never used one before. |
