Most mechanices tell me its very hard on small engines and engines that are not designed for it. No idea on if that has merit but do know since we switched over to fuel with out ethanol our small engines run way better.
Ethonal is corrosive to aluminum and most small engines have aluminum carburetors with extremely small jets and passages that are easy to plug. Combine that with the fact that many small engines are seasonal use and sit around untouched for 6 months at a time. So yes, ethonal can cause some problems in that case. If you run them occasionally you shouldn't ever have a problem |
