Subject: How much corruption is in the markets

NW Indiana
Keep your politics out of this, not a political post. I'm seeing lots of complaints about suspicious activity leading into announcements. Liberation day time period last year was a lot of suspicious activity in equities. A little over a week ago was a large wager in equities and oil just minutes before a tweet. Yesterday a 950 million dollar short oil trade before the announcement. A bunch of bets on Polymarket with a 1% chance of Trump saying Praise Allah and sure enough a tweet. A 600k bet a ceasefire would happen by the end of 4/7. Doesn't this kind of activity ruin the markets? Doesn't it take trust that markets are relatively fair in order for them to function properly? Is it the power of a tweet that has changed the game for this kind of corruption? Or has this kind of activity been always going on but wasn't as obvious because we didn't know the timing?
