California has more farmers in it than any other state in the US. Not sure how ethanol puts food on the table if the corn produced is used to produce ethanol and not food?

Ethanol is a very inefficient energy source. I think it’s a subsidy to keep the American farmer alive. But probably need it now just like all other energy sources with all the demand for energy inefficient or not.
