SW WI | I would add to the conversation…..around my area a lot of non farm income gets thrown into the pot. Guys that always wanted to farm, are now farming after other business career. Active farmers younger farmers need a side gig to even enter the mix. And the occasional 80+ guy that keeps on buying to leave to heirs that have no desire to farm but will never turn down a free lunch….
Grandpa is adamant now about no subdivision on that land but you can sure bet what the grandkids are eyeing once he’s gone. | |
