Western Oregon | Wife has done the taxes for 40 years and set up direct deposit when it was needed, as she did the taxes for that year. We got refund in a few days, all by phone. Same with our banking and savings accounts. We use a credit union here in town but an on-line bank for savings, no checks. She hates doing the taxes but does it well. Probably took 15 minutes this year. Me, no way. I don't have a phone and just use this Chromebook for fun, these days about my only link to outside world. Love our little off-grid acre here. Son has a cabin here too and he has all the new fangled stuff. He can turn lights on and off from cell phone, propane heater and so much more. Even check in on his new pup with a camera, and talk to him. Wonderful world but way beyond my needs. I left home at 12, lived in a 8'x12' chicken coop with a trash burner, no electricity, an outhouse and a hand pump well in the yard. Back to a 12'x24' cabin now, with solar generator and gravity fed spring for flush toilet, just plug and play from solar panels to lights. Propane heat and on demand hot water....James
