Why are we not seeing spot adds and stories on the airways of the productivity of the American farmer. We shipped another 2 million metric tons of corn last week. Average price of gasoline in California today is $5.93/gallon. California has done nothing but attack corn ethanol and the American farmer. Gas in South Dakota is $3.56. The difference isn't all tax--- it is ethanol. Why isn't this story being told by the corn growers associations? We are literally powering and supplying the world in corn and we still have surpluses. The European Union when they aren't stabbing us in the back are destroying their own agriculture by regulation and ideology of domestic production only---no threat there. The consumer isn't being told that ethanol is keeping the price of their gas in check. Why? The consumer isn't being told we are breaking records in corn exports. Why? Maybe quit sponsoring conference tournaments and agricultural events telling us how great we are and get off your ass and start telling the nation how important ethanol is for national security.
Ethanol is literally putting food on your table by giving you more disposable income by energy savings. We should be screaming this to our consumers.
ethanol is just another alternative energy scam the consumer pays for twice, once when they pay taxes and again when they have to fill their tank with mandated blends. Surplus corn is a conduit for wealth transfer amongst multi-national corporations. The farmland is like the hog barns of the 90's and 00's, someone else holding the necessary low return assets so product can produce and be moved by those who have shaped the markets and industry.
Non Ethanol fuel has been available at every pump I've ever filled up at.
