To me there are better options than that funk powershift.
The last ones with the round shift handle I believe shifted the best. 01-02.
If it was me personally i would try and upgrade or add another, if it's a tractor you are running all your acres through.
It's been 24 yrs since Agco quit them.
If you can work on them or a have a good shop that is knowledgable then you will be in better shape
Seems most issues are getting a good calibrate done and holding it.
I'm pretty sure you can drop a CVT in cheaper than tearing into that funk.
I hate to know what Deere would charge to rebuild one.
Chris would know more about that part.
I have rebuilt the Powershift of both design, we do them in house...but last I knew a reman was over $30K. It takes about a minimum of about $10K to open up a powershift to even see what's wrong
CVT Insert for a DT240A is about $19K, total job should be about $26-28K depending on labor price. We're doing #9 since 2003 in the shop right now.
