We have a 750 and plant no till alfalfa in the shallowest setting =.25-.5 inch deep. Middle setting should be 1.5 deep. What depth are you trying to achieve? If your down pressure is too light the angle of the opener wil be wrong resulting in bad depth control. Also the hydraulic needs to be on constant or the pressure bleeds off and the openers ride up.
