If you really like the cow keep it. Cost a lot less to dry lot her then buy a calf to have on her side. If this happens in my operation I started putting them with a bull early and get them bred before bull turn out. They usually calve early but then you can run them in drylot or small patches that don’t work for a lot of other uses.
What would you do?
