Subject: RE: How much do farmers spend on subscriptions?

Holly Hill, SC
I try to avoid subscriptions but I still have the following:
$280 for upkeep on Ag Leader SMS (pretty much does nothing for me since I use Windows 7 where as the SMS can not be updated under this Windows version)
+/- $300 for Rienke pivot control.
Cell phone $125/month for 5 phones (Cricket Wireless)

Have my own RTK base station. I do pay every 6 years the FCC for my business band and base station frequency. For my corn dryer I use the older GSI Watchdog tied to a raspberry pi thru my broadband internet. Did away with my moisture probes once I learned what the pivots and soil was doing. No payment to JD and don't plan to at least for a little while. Not interested in yearly subscriptions for autosteer. (currently have 7 machines using JD autosteer)
