What did you think was going to happen after your talk with the chief last week? You directly ran back to AgTalk, and possibly other sites or local gossip holes, and continued to rant about it. In one of your threads or replies you even threatened to sue the person who turned you in as soon as you figured out who that person(s) was. All your chief or anyone with knowledge of the situation had to do was browse AgTalk and quickly would see your blatant and direct violation of what they had just told you not to do in that meeting. I’m guessing you’re reaction to the chiefs chat on Friday and multiple follow up posts on AgTalk over the weekend and their content (including the threats of suing them into the poorhouse) is what led to your termination.
If your thinking about reapplying in the future, you better study up real good on the policy’s regarding HIPPA laws and other policy’s your station has about what is or isn’t allowed to be publicly broadcasted. Might study up on their code of conduct as well regarding threatening folks as well.
Also, if you still haven’t figured out exactly what you did or said that got you in this mess, you really do need to sit down with your now ex-chief or anyone else who would have knowledge of the situation and get the answers straight from him. Cause if you don’t, then you’ll most likely end up in the same situation in the future someplace. | |
