Iowa | Im not in my 80s, nor will I pretend to be. But I can relate a little bit. Ive done many things in my relatively short adulthood,(Im sure not as many as you in over 60 years of adulthood) and half the time I can hardly remember some of the things Ive done. I truly believe it has a lot to do with getting really busy in life, and some of those things just fade into the past. Like they didnt happen at all. The person that did those things is still here, things just look different now.
I had a neighbor(she's gone now, She lived a long long life) and I can remember one day sitting down at her dinner table. And we were visiting about life and were visiting about her life on the farm, and as I sat there I could see it in her eyes that she was going back in time like I wasnt there at all. Thats the type of conversation thats worth having. Visiting with someone thats seen many many things in life and seen many things. | |
