We had a good storm in early April in 1975 (one daughter was born that year) and the highways dept had leases on trucks that ran out March 31 and some municipalities had started pulling plows off trucks. It shut things down for a couple days but as you noted it went away quickly. And I had spread N on winter wheat the morning it began. Spread it on frozen ground at dawn and saw first snowflake when I was unhooking spreader from tractor around 8am
I'm not that far north of you but am east of Lake Huron so storms can stock up on 'material' before it crosses over me and by then it is getting tired of carrying it. |
