Iowa - Floyd County | We used to be all anhydrous preplant. 20 years ago we started side dressing some UAN to supplement the NH3. 7-8 years ago we went all UAN, put on in 3 different shots now. I'm interested in using some urea and banding it with my dry P&K when I put it on in the spring but with the cost of the product and cost of building an applicator that can handle it, it is not in the cards for me right now. Still a lot of NH3 used around here but there are also quite a few guys using at least some UAN to make a split application of N. | |
