Bainville, MT | Its a weird situation.
About 6 months avo i inherited some land that i had been renting for about 10 years.
This land was in the family.
The BLM is in the middle of the pasture.
More deeded acres in pasture than blm.
The oilfield moves in to build a location on blm but road is on private land going towards blm.
Oilfield hits freshwater pipeline.
The more i get to looking, i realize that pipeline and water tanks are on blm.
This is rough rough badlands.
I notify blm of pipeline and tanks.
Well is on private. 2800 ft of pipeline and 2 of 5 tanks are on blm.
No clue who engineered it. Doubt anyone.
Line was installed in the 70s.
Blm wants to do a cria. Wants a water right on well.
I have no problem with it. I dont want type of use (livestock) to change. Or point of use to change without me agreeing to it.
